Christina provides strategic leadership for CARE’s global policy and advocacy for sexual, reproductive, and maternal health and rights. Ms. Wegs brings over 15 years’ experience in international health and development. Her career has focused on promoting rights-based approaches to reproductive health and HIV/AIDS programming. Ms. Wegs has worked with a wide range of governmental and non-governmental partners including Ipas, Pact, USAID, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has lived and worked in Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. Ms. Wegs earned Master’s Degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
